Flying Fish
I was after the elusive and rare "Flying Fish" of Lake St. George this morning..
I'm not sure which one it was Brk Trt. I was after some salmon which were holding in about 40 ft. of water. For that I was using a Crystal Smelt streamer with lead core trolling line and 20 feet of mono leader. I got bored and tried bass fishing using my ultralight fly rod and a bunch of different flies, the one pictured is just one of them. I caught a lot of smallish, smallies. The water was crystal clear so I could easily see the bass. I drifted along the shore of an island, casting into the rocks and really enjoy watching the fish dart up from the depths and attack my flies. They are very aggressive as I'm sure you know. Great fun...
Great shot. What's the streamer?
