From Baxter to Belfast - From Great Pond to Grand Lake Stream - From Monhegan to Moosehead . I'm all about rediscovering the Maine outdoors and my family's connection with it.
Wow - that's a beauty! Where is the Like button! =)
We used to ice fish quite a bit.I loved jigging for smelt, then we would use a few for bait and catch some awesome browns.
Brk Trt, I used to do some myself, back in the day. Now I just observe from the warmth of my living room.
Wow- very nice fish!
It's a whopper!
I did a lot of that in Michigan as a kid. Can't ever remember being colder ( we didn't have a shanty) . But the fish out of that cold water were so good.
I used to stand out on the ice with my ol' man when I was a kid..and boy do I remember how cold it was..except when the ice was clear of snow and we could skate..thnx for the comment John..
Hi PenGlad you found Fishing Through Life and thanks for joining up with my group. Those are some nice trout on the ice. You are living and fishing in a place that my wife and I will be visiting come summer.
Hey Bill, welcome aboard and thanks! Ice fishing is huge in this neck of the woods for sure. "Fishing Through Life" is a very cool fishing blog.
Hoping for that luck this weekend!
Well, first my apologies. I meant to link up with you a long time ago. I've never been to Maine but I can look and enjoy all day long. There sure is some wonderful fly fishing there.
Jeeze cofisher..absolutely no apology necessary..I am extremely happy to have you aboard..There is a lot of great fly fishing here in Maine and I can't wait to get back out there..Some places are open all winter to fly chucking but way too cold for an old duffa' like me!
